Greetings! I hope this message finds you in healthy spirits during this time of self-reflection and thoughts of renewal as you wrangle the usual holiday frenzy. It's been a minute since the run of my podcast,
Where's Your Tree? — was originally recorded in 2019-2021.
With so much going on in the world determined to zap my joy, I felt an internal nudge to do something—okay, to say something—beyond the constant yelps of outrage and despair. I was drawn to revisit conversations from the podcast, launched just before Covid’s sneaky arrival, and a period marked by inconceivable personal and global loss. I know, I know—not exactly a source of joyful celebration! Yet it does mark our bravery and resilience as survivors and, in the most important ways, how we strengthened and reinvented ourselves. This is the momentum I'm carrying with me into in the new year.
I’m excited for you to revisit this episode—Symmetry in the Charlie Brown Christmas (see the Download button below)—inspired by a similarly titled essay. My piece, as I wrote, “explores the down and dirty deities that reside in each of us,” through the lens of Charlie Brown and his familiar gang of oddball friends "as surprising instruments of sacred expression."
Enjoy your listen and please, share your thoughts!
Until we meet again,
Wishing you a radiant 2026!

Our Mission
An artist-initiated, eco-project founded in 2019, Where’s Your Tree? is an advocate and partner for urban green initiatives and funding opportunities that affirm a sustainable future for the planet and Black and brown lives.
Our Vision
To create forums and funding opportunities that affirm and improve the ways of being in the world for artists, healers, urban growers/farmers, and educators.
Our Origin Story
The question Where's Your Tree? emerged from a Commencement Address (see link below) that was first presented to a graduating class of Goddard College students in 2015. Of course, it was offered more as an instructive metaphor to the students, on how to nurture their outrage, genius, and conviction. Yet we often pursue what we need to learn. The spaces in which transformative ideas are rooted, are also often filled with resistance, uncertainty, fear, and a need for a radical change of climate.

We facilitate and partner on community programs in support of environmental issues, food justice, and food systems informed by ancestral, indigenous, and BIPOC-focused practices.
